Art has always been in my genes, so it’s no surprise that tattooing found me back in the early 80s. After getting my first tattoo, I knew I wanted more—only this time with my own designs. Back then, there were no cell phones or computers, so I dove into libraries and magazines, ordered my first machines, and taught myself how to bring art to skin.
My work has always leaned toward realism, especially in black and grey, though I enjoy working in color when the piece calls for it.
Years later, an unexpected opportunity to buy a tattoo shop came along. Without hesitation, I left the security of a job I’d had for 10 years and took the leap. Now, as we celebrate our fifth year, I know it was the right decision. Every tattoo I do is another chance to create something meaningful, and I couldn’t be happier.
